How to play Bollywood Pictionary
One person takes the phone, presses the button, and gets three seconds of countdown so everyone else can look away. Then the film appears and they draw it while the room shouts.
Paper, not the phone. The phone only deals the title. The drawing happens on whatever paper is nearest, which is the one physical thing any game on this site needs.
What you cannot draw. No letters, no numbers, no arrows pointing at a written word. This is the rule most rooms break within two turns. A symbol that happens to contain a shape is fine. Spelling anything out ends the turn.
Take turns in order around the room. It stops the same confident person drawing all night.
Why some films work and others do not
A film title is drawable when it holds an object. A moon, a motorbike, a hockey stick, a train. It stops being drawable when the title is a feeling, because there is no way to put longing on paper in ninety seconds and every attempt looks like the same sad face.
Every film in this pool has been checked by hand for that, so nobody gets handed a title made entirely of abstract nouns. That is the difference between this and drawing from a list somebody wrote for charades.

How do you play Pictionary with Bollywood movies?
One person takes the phone and presses the button. A three second countdown runs before the film appears, so everybody else has time to look away. That person then draws the film on paper while the room shouts guesses, with no talking, no gestures, and no letters or numbers on the page. Press Solved when somebody gets it, or let the timer run out, then pass the phone to the next person.
How long should each turn be?
Ninety seconds is the usual turn and it is the default here. Sixty keeps a big room moving. Two minutes is kinder to a group that has only just sat down, or to a drawer who is being asked to put a whole film on paper rather than a single object.
Can you write letters or numbers when drawing?
No. This is the rule most rooms get wrong. No letters, no numbers, no arrows pointing at a written word. You can draw a symbol that happens to contain a shape, but the moment you spell anything out the turn is over. Agree on this before the first turn rather than during someone's.
How do you decide who draws?
Go around the room in order. It is the simplest system and it stops the same confident person drawing every round. If you are playing in teams, alternate teams each turn so nobody sits out for long.
How do you play Pictionary with a large group?
Split into two teams and seat them apart so guesses do not carry across the room. Above sixteen players, run three teams and rotate, which keeps the wait between turns short. Give a big room a shorter timer, because thirty people shouting at once gets to the answer faster than five do.
Which Bollywood movies are good for Pictionary?
The ones whose titles contain an object rather than an emotion. A title with a moon, a train, a number or an animal gives the drawer somewhere to start. Titles built from abstract nouns are the ones that stall a room, and the film pool here filters for exactly that.
